Work Hard, Play Hard
Last year, work was extremely challenging and stressful. To sum it up, there were long hours, lost weekends and my gray hairs multiplied. Why did I stick it out? Well, the semi-annual bonus payouts helped keep me motivated.
Instead of being a responsible grownup and putting my bonus into a savings account, I splurged. I treated myself to a few things.
* A beautiful Proenza Schouler PS1 handbag in red & black geometric print. The interior lining is amazeballs! Originally, I wanted to find the “perfect” black bag but nothing came close. The search continues…just kidding.
* My first (and probably last) Chanel leather good. Why is this my last Chanel item? Don’t get me wrong, Chanel is classic, stunning, timeless. However, I rarely see anything that matches my personality or sense of style until I came across this neon yellow patent leather wallet. That’s all me.
* Solestruck’s one and only storefront is in Portland. They curate a small assortment of shoes for their store so, I wasn’t expecting to find anything but what do you know…I fell in love (happens a lot). Been seeing more and more shoes with cutouts and I was skeptical of the trend until I tried on a pair of Jeffrey Campbell’s Fontane sandals. The black leather “butches” them up and they are super comfortable; no need to break them in. Perfect for transitioning out of winter boots and into summer sandals.

You’re right, that yellow Chanel is all you
Agreed! Both so fancy and so you.
